Eligibility for Home Guard (Male & Female) positions:

1. A pass in Standard 10th or its equivalent.

Training:

• Selected Home Guards will undergo basic training, comprising 64 parade days, with each day consisting of 3 periods lasting 45 minutes each.

Selection Process – Puducherry Police Recruitment 2023

The selection process for Puducherry Police Recruitment involves several stages:

• Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, and Medical examination.
• Candidates who pass the Written Test will proceed to the next stage, which is the medical examination.

Physical Standard Test for Men:

• Height: 165 cm
• Chest: 81-86 cm
• Weight: 18.50 to 29.9 kg

Physical Standard Test for Women:

• Height: 154 cm
• No chest requirement
• Weight: 45 kg

Physical Efficiency Test (Only Male):

• 800 meters run in 2 minutes and 50 seconds
• Long Jump: 3.80 meters
• High Jump: 1.20 meters
• 100 meters run in 20 seconds

Written Test (200 Marks):

• All qualifying candidates from the Physical Standard and Physical Efficiency Tests will take a Written Test.
• The exam comprises objective-type questions at the SSLC standard.
