Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Trainee Engineers and Project Engineers. A total of 77 vacancies are available, with 23 positions for Trainee Engineers and 54 for Project Engineers. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online. BEL Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Trainee/Project Engineers – I:

• Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4 years course) from a recognized institute/university/college in the following disciplines:

Upper Age Limit (as of 01.09.2024):

Trainee Engineer/Officer – I:

• Maximum Age: 28 years for General/EWS candidates.
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD (40% disability or more): 10 years of relaxation in addition to the above category-wise relaxations.

Project Engineer – I:

• Maximum Age: 32 years for General/EWS candidates.
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD (40% disability or more): 10 years of relaxation in addition to the above category-wise relaxations.

Note: Candidates will need to provide an SSLC/SSC/ISC mark card or any other valid document as proof of date of birth.

BEL Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Selection Procedure for Trainee Engineer-I:

1. Written Test: 100 marks with negative marking (¼ mark for each wrong answer).
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
   • GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL: 35%
   • SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
3. Test Locations: Delhi-NCR, Jammu, Kolkata, Bangalore.
4. Merit: Selection based on category-wise, and discipline-wise merit.
5. Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be announced on the BEL website.

Selection Procedure for Project Engineer-I:

1. Written Test & Interview: A written test followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
   • GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL: 35% (Written), 35% (Interview)
   • SC/ST/PwBD: 30% (Written), 30% (Interview)
3. Weightage: 85% for written test, 15% for interview.
4. Test Locations: Vadsar/Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi/NCR.
5. Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be announced on the BEL website.

BEL Recruitment 2024 Salary

Terms of Engagement & Allowance for Trainee Engineer-I:

• Engagement: Trainee Engineer-I will initially be engaged for 2 years, extendable by up to 1 additional year based on performance and project needs (max. 3 years). Trainee Engineer II may be promoted to Project Engineer I based on performance.

Terms of Engagement & Allowance for Project Engineer-I:

• Engagement: Project Engineer-I will initially be engaged for 3 years, extendable by 1 additional year based on performance and project needs.
• Retention Bonus: Project Engineers who complete 4 years will receive a Retention Bonus of ₹25,000 per year, payable at the end of the 4 years (total ₹1,00,000).

BEL Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

Application Fees:

• Trainee Engineer/Officer – I: ₹150 + 18% GST (Exempt for SC, ST, PwBD)
• Project Engineer – I: ₹400 + 18% GST

Payment Details:

1. Pay via SBI Collect (online).
2. Enter SBI Collect Reference No. in the application form.
3. No refund once the fee is paid.
4. Upload the e-challan with the application form.

BEL Recruitment 2024 Application Process

1. Application Link: Apply online by clicking on BEL Application Portal.
   • The last date to apply is 09.11.2024.
2. Instructions: Read all instructions in the advertisement carefully. Fill out the online form accurately and verify details before submission, as no changes will be allowed after submission.
3. Multiple Applications:
   • If more than one application is submitted for the same post, only the application with the bank receipt will be considered.
   • If two applications with receipts are submitted for the same post, only the one with the latest registration number will be considered.
   • For different posts, separate applications and payment receipts must be submitted.
4. BEL Employees: Candidates employed at BEL must inform their respective SBU/Unit HR before applying.
5. Eligibility for Project Engineer:
   • Current Project Engineers at BEL are not eligible for lateral posts.
   • Trainee Engineers with at least one year of experience in BEL can apply for Project Engineer – I.
   • Applications from Project Engineers currently working in BEL for the Project Engineer/Trainee Engineer positions will be rejected.
