About ITBP
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is a central armed police force tasked with guarding India’s border with the Tibet Autonomous Region. Established in 1962 in response to the Sino-Indian War, ITBP is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) responsible for border security and law enforcement in difficult terrains and high-altitude regions.

ITBP Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

- Educational Qualifications:
Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication)
- Bachelor’s degree in Science with PCM or relevant fields, or
- Bachelor in Computer Application, or
- B.E. in Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science, etc., or
- Associate Member of IEI or equivalent in related fields.
Head Constable (Telecommunication)
- 10+2 with PCM, minimum 45% aggregate, or
- 10th class with ITI certificate in Electronics/Electrical/Computer, or
- 10th class with PCM and 3-year diploma in relevant fields.
Constable (Telecommunication)
- Essential: Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Desirable: Diploma or certificate from ITI in Electronics, Communication, or related fields.
ITBP Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
- Admit Cards: Issued online; candidates must bring printed copies of the application form and admit card for entry to PET & PST.
- Identity Verification: Includes biometric capture before PET & PST and can occur at any stage. Failure in biometric verification cancels candidature.
- No Re-evaluation: Scores won’t be re-evaluated or re-checked, and no related correspondence will be entertained.
ITBP Recruitment 2024 Salary
- Pay Scale:
- Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication): ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 (Level-6, 7th CPC)
- Head Constable (Telecommunication): ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4, 7th CPC)
- Constable (Telecommunication): ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 (Level-3, 7th CPC)
- Allowances: Includes Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Special Compensatory Allowance (for border postings), HRA, Transport Allowance, LTC, free medical facilities, and more, per ITBP rules.
- Pension: Eligible for the New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme, applicable to new Central Government recruits.
ITBP Recruitment 2024 Application Fee
- UR, OBC, and EWS candidates: Rs. 200/- for Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication) and Rs. 100/- for Head Constable & Constable (Telecommunication).
