ICMR-National Institute of Virology Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical):

• Educational Qualification:
  • Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) in Life Science with specialization in Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Zoology.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Laboratory experience in Tissue Culture, Serology, Molecular Biology Techniques, Virological Techniques, and handling infectious agents.
  • Data analysis using statistical software.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and data management.

Project Technical Support-III:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Three years Graduate Degree in Life Science with specialization in Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry plus 3 years of experience, OR
  • Postgraduate in the above-mentioned subjects.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Work experience in the diagnostic laboratory, Cell Culture, ELISA, PCR, and Sequencing.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and report preparation.
  • Experience in clinical sample collection and data collection in field studies.

Project Technical Support-I:

• Educational Qualification:
  • 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT) + 2 years of relevant field experience, OR
  • Three years Graduate degree in Life Science (specialization in Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry) with 1-year experience.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in diagnostic laboratory, Cell Culture, ELISA, PCR.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and report preparation.
  • Experience in clinical sample collection and data collection in field studies.

• Candidates will be selected through a walk-in interview and/or a written test (if the number of candidates exceeds 30).
• The written test will cover relevant subject matters, general knowledge, reasoning skills, quantitative analysis, language, and general aptitude.
• Candidates must bring their duly filled application form with a recent passport-size photograph, bio-data/CV, and original documents along with one set of photocopies for educational qualifications, experience, age, and identity proof.
• No TA/DA will be provided, and candidates must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
