Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the recruitment of Engineer Trainees (ET) and Supervisor Trainees (ST) for multiple disciplines. A total of 400 vacancies are available, with 150 ETs and 250 STs. Candidates with a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant fields can apply for the ET position, while those with a Diploma in Engineering can apply for the ST position. The upper age limit is 27 years with applicable relaxations. Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary, with ETs earning ₹50,000-₹1,60,000 during training and STs earning ₹32,000-₹1,00,000 during training. Post-training, salaries will increase further. Job postings will be across BHEL Manufacturing Units and Power Sector Sites. BHEL Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Engineer Trainee (ET):
- Full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the specified disciplines.
- Candidates in the final year of their degree can apply but must submit proof of qualification by 1st June 2025.
- Supervisor Trainee (ST):
- Diploma in Engineering in relevant disciplines with a minimum of 65% aggregate (60% for SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 27 years as of 1st February 2025 (29 years for candidates with a Postgraduate degree).
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
BHEL Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
Engineer Trainee (ET)
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Shortlisting candidates in a 1:5 ratio based on merit.
- Interview: Final selection based on 75% CBE weightage and 25% interview weightage.
Supervisor Trainee (ST)
- CBE: Shortlisting candidates in a 1:3 ratio.
- Document Verification: Qualifying stage. Final merit based on CBE score.

Engineer Trainees:
- Training: ₹50,000 (Basic Pay) in ₹50,000–₹1,60,000 pay scale.
- Post-Training: ₹60,000 (Basic Pay) in ₹60,000–₹1,80,000 pay scale.
- CTC (Approx.): ₹12.0 LPA.
Supervisor Trainees:
- Training: ₹32,000 (Basic Pay) in ₹32,000–₹1,00,000 pay scale.
- Post-Training: ₹33,500 (Basic Pay) in ₹33,500–₹1,20,000 pay scale.
- CTC (Approx.): ₹7.5 LPA.
