- Postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or equivalent Associateship Diploma from the Institution of Chemists.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
Scientific Officer (Deputation):
- Officers from Central/State Govt., PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, etc., holding analogous posts with 2/3/8 years of regular service depending on the level.
- Educational qualifications as mentioned above.
- Maximum age: 56 years.
