About FSSAI

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It ensures food safety and quality across India by framing regulations, conducting awareness programs, and monitoring compliance. The FSSAI Internship aims to expose interns to policymaking, food safety management, and practical regulatory experience.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students pursuing full-time degrees (UG/PG/PhD) in Food Technology, Nutrition, Microbiology, Agriculture, Chemistry, Public Policy, Law, Management, or Mass Communication/Journalism.
  • Recent graduates (within 6 months) are also eligible.
  • Good academic record; additional certifications/research in food safety is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.

Internship Duration

  • Minimum Duration: 1 month
  • Maximum Duration: 6 months

Application Process

  1. Visit the official FSSAI internship portal: https://fssai.gov.in
  2. Register online and fill out the internship application form.
  3. Upload the required documents:
    • Updated Resume/CV
    • Bonafide Certificate (for students)
    • Recent Passport-size Photograph
    • Academic Transcripts
    • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  4. Submit the application online before 23rd September 2025.
  5. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further screening.
