Detailed Eligibility:

Education Qualification:

For Registrar:

  • A Post Graduate Degree with at least 55 % marks or its equivalent grade.
  • At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the pay level 11 (or
    equivalent VI CPC Scale) and above or 8 years of service in the pay level 12
    (or equivalent VI CPC Scale) and above including as Associate Professor
    along with experience in educational administration. (or)
  • 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar
    in GP 7600 or an equivalent post.

For Assistant Registrar (Accounts/Admin./Academics):

  • A Post Graduate Degree with at least 55 % marks or its equivalent with
    an excellent academic record
  • A person holding an analogous post on regular basis in Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTIs) with experience in Administration / Academics matters

For Technical Officer:

  • First class B.E/B.Tech with 8 years experience or First class M.E/M.Tech with 5 years of experience in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology /Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or)
  • First class MCA with 8 years experience

For Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical):

  • B.E / B.Tech. in relevant disciplines with 2 years of relevant experience. (or)
  • Diploma in relevant disciplines with 5 years of experience.

For Junior Superintendent:

  • First class Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience (or)
  • First class B.com with 6 years experience with the knowledge of Tally for accounting position.

For Junior Technical Superintendent:

CSE:

  • BE / B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology with 5 years of experience (or)
  • MCA with 5 years experience.

ECE/Mech:

  • BE / B.Tech in relevant disciplines with 5 years of experience

For Junior Assistant:

  • Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of computer operations (or)
  • B.Com with the knowledge of Tally

For Junior Technician:

CSE/ECE/Mechanical:

  • Diploma in relevant disciplines. (or)
  • ITI in relevant disciplines with 2 years of experience.

Physics:

  • BSc. (Physics) or Equivalent

General Instructions

1. The candidates are required to apply in the online portal with complete information. Applications not in the prescribed format will not be entertained. Candidates applying for more than one post are required to submit separate application.
2. NITK strives to have a workforce which also reflects gender balance and hence women candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
3. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, other documents and photograph. Furnishing of any false information and/or suppression/ concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/cancellation of selection/appointment.
4. Number and nature of posts shown above may change and vary at the time of selection/recruitment. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any or all the posts advertised and to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason.
5. The age limit and qualifications/experience etc. for all the posts shall be determined as on the last date of submission of online application. As decided by the Board of Governors of the Institute in its 56th meeting dated 29.04.2019, an age relaxation up to 25 years (Twenty Five years) will be given for Ad-hoc/ Temporary/Contractual/ Outsource basis workers working in the Institute as one time measure. Candidates falling under these criteria must attach the valid experience certificate issued by the respective Agencies with the hardcopy.
6. Reservation/Concession available for SC/ST/ OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwD/EWS/Ex-Serviceman/ Meritorious Sports Person as per Central Govt. Rules. Candidates belonging to reserve categories should attach certificate obtained from Revenue Authorities not below the rank of Tahasildar or from a First Class magistrate of the place of domicile of the candidates clearly authenticating the category to which they belong. OBC reservation will be determined according to the Central list of OBC as available in the National Commission for Backward Classes website i.e. http://www.ncbc.nic.in. Applicant belonging to OBC category but coming in creamy layer will not be entitled the benefit of reservation and should apply as general category candidates. Candidates belonging to EWS category should obtain the certificate in accordance with the guidelines for EWS reservation. EWS guidelines file is attached with this notification.
7. Reservation/Concession available for Persons with Disability as per Govt. Of India norms. The persons with disability (PWD) shall be required to submit the medical certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authorities for the purpose of employment as per GOI norms along with their application. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of reservation. The PwD candidates will be reimbursed travel cost and for an attendant also, wherever applicable, as per Govt. of India guidelines. However, local travel cost, if any, shall be borne by the candidates.
8. Any application without copy (self -attested) of all relevant certificates/ testimonials is liable to be rejected.
9. Under academic records, in case of CGPA, the applicants must attach the certificate which contains the equivalent percentage score, issued by the respective University/Institute.
10. Mere fulfillment of the required qualifications and experience etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for test/ interview/selection. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience, higher than those prescribed in this advertisement, and as per merit decided by scrutiny committee. The scrutiny committee shall shortlist the eligible and most desirable candidates to be called for the test and the interview from amongst the applicants, based on specialization and requirements of the Departments. In doing so it shall not be bound by the options exercised by the applicants.
