BHU Recruitment

Banaras Hindu University has announced notification for the Junior Research Fellow/Non-Teaching Posts. There are 247 openings for these posts. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech/M.Lib/Ph.D/M.Sc/B.Sc/MBBS/MD/MS/DNB /Diploma are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible can apply for a BHU Job before the last date. BHU Education Qualification

Name Of Posts Qualification
Executive Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)
  • First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University OR
  • Should be passed in first-class Section A & B Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
  • Minimum experience of 08 years as Assistant Engineer and above OR
  • Minimum experience of 05 years as Assistant Executive Engineer and above from CPWD / State PWD services or similar organized services / Semi-Government/PSU / Statutory or Autonomous organization / University System or reputed private organization (with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crores).

Desirable:

  • Experience in construction and maintenance of building infrastructure, including Internal EI, External Electrifications, Electrical substations, Fire Alarm Systems, fire detection & protection systems, DG sets, ELV systems, UPS, lifts, pumps, HVAC, etc.
  • Have experience in planning/estimation/measurement/tendering as per CPWD / PWD norms. Good knowledge of CPWD manuals, preparation/checking of estimates, drawings, bill of quantities, substitute/deviation items, statements, and other associated issues related to constructions, project management of constructions, and maintenance works.
  • Knowledge of Computer and Project Management Tools/Software.

 

Executive Engineer (Civil):
  • First Class Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University OR
  • Passed in first class Section A & B Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
  • Minimum experience of 08 years as Assistant Engineer (Civil) and above OR
  • Minimum experience of 05 years as Assistant Executive Engineer or above, from CPWD/State Government PWD services or similar organized services/Semi-Government/ PSU/ Statutory or
    Autonomous organization/ University System or reputed private organizations (with an annual turnover of at least Rs.200/- Crores).

Desirable:

  • Experience in the construction of projects of multi-story buildings and experience in planning/ estimation/ measurement/ tendering as per the CPWD/ PWD norms. Good knowledge of CPWD manuals, preparations/checking of estimates, drawings, structural details, bill of quantities, substitute/deviation items statements, and other associated issues related to building and construction
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Project Management tools/software.

 

System Engineer
  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engg./Electronics Engg,/M.Sc. Computer Science/MCA with seven years experience. OR  Master Degree in Engg./Technology in Computer Science & Engg/Electronics Engg.
  • With five years of experience. Experience should be at the appropriate level in industry/ University level Computer Centre in Server configuration, storage systems, backup systems, Linux/Unix Software Engg, Design and Validation, Databases, and Computer Networks.

 

Junior Maintenance Engineer/Networking Engineer
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering
  • 05 year experience of Computer Network administration and Computer hardware including Massive UPS systems and Centralized Airconditioning Plants/ Computer Systems Management and administration /Maintenance of a campus wide large computer network preferably with fiber optic backbone links from a recognized Public/PSU/Private organization.
  • Desired: Experience of Industrial background.

 

Deputy Librarian
  • A Master‘s Degree in library science/information science /documentation science, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point –scale, wherever grading system is followed.
  • Eight years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
  • Evidence of innovative library services including integration of ICT in the library
  • A Ph.D. Degree in library science/ Information science / Documentation Science/Archives and manuscript keeping/computerization of library

 

Assistant Librarian
  • A Master‘s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks
  • A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of the computerization of a library.
  • The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree by the University Grants Commission

 

Chief Nursing Officer:
  • M.Sc. (Nursing) with a minimum experience of 18 years of which 5 years in teaching & administration in a recognized Nursing college and 5 years in Clinical management experience in a minimum 500-bed recognized hospital. OR
  • Persons with nursing experience on analogous posts regularly or with a minimum experience of 05 years at Level-11 in Govt./Semi Govt./PSU/Military Hospital.

 

Nursing Superintendent
  • M.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized Nursing College with a minimum experience of 15 years from a recognized College/Hospital (minimum 500 beds), of which, a minimum 03 years should be in Clinical management/teaching experience. OR
  • B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized Nursing College with a minimum experience of 18 years from a recognized College/Hospital (minimum 500 beds), of which, minimum 03 years should be in Clinical management/teaching experience OR
  • Persons having nursing experience on analogous posts on regular basis or with a minimum experience of 05 years at Level-10 in Govt./Semi Govt./PSU/Military Hospital.

 

Medical Officer
  • MBBS with minimum 02 years of clinical experience (after completion of mandatory internship)
  • Desired: Preference would be given to MD/MS/DNB in General Medicine/General Surgery/ Obstetrics & Gynaecology/ Anaesthesiology/Critical Care from a recognized Medical College/National Board recognized Hospital.

 

Nursing Officer
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) in (Nursing)/ Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute. OR
  • Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized University or Institute. Registered as Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with State Nursing Council, and one year experience in a minimum fifty-bed registered hospital after acquiring the above educational qualifications. OR
  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Board or Council. Registered as Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with State Nursing Council and Two years of experience in a minimum fifty bedded registered hospital after acquiring the educational qualifications mentioned at II

BHU  Application Fee

  • Group ‘A’ posts – Rs. 1000/-
  • Group ‘B posts – Rs. 500/-
  • No application fees shall be charged from the candidates of SC, ST, PwDs categories and women candidate

BHU Recruitment Selection Process

  • For Group ‘A’ positions, the University may conduct a written test for short-listing of candidates. Further interaction/presentation may also be conducted, if required, for further short-listing. The candidates finally short-listed will be called for an interview.
  • For Group ‘B’ positions, the University shall conduct a written test. Further, a Skill test shall also be conducted for the candidates short-listed from the written test
