CERC Recruitment 2025

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is recruiting for 07 vacancies in the roles of Senior Research Officer, Research Officer, and Research Associate. Candidates must have a Graduate/Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical. The age limit will be as per CERC regulations. The application process starts on 13th February 2025 and ends on 13th March 2025. The salary ranges from ₹64,000 to ₹1,25,000 per month. Applications must be submitted offline by post.

• Senior Research Officer (01 Post) – ₹1,25,000 per month
• Research Officer (05 Posts) – ₹64,000 – ₹1,10,000 per month
• Research Associate (01 Post) – ₹45,000 – ₹80,000 per month

CERC Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Senior Research Officer: Graduate in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in power sector operations, hydro/thermal generation, or transmission.
• Research Officer: Graduate/Diploma in Engineering with 4+ years of experience (7+ years for diploma holders).
• Research Associate: Graduate/Diploma in Engineering with 0-3 years of experience (6+ years for diploma holders).

Preferred Fields:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

The selection process will consist of:

1. Written Examination (if required)
2. Personal Interaction/Interview
3. Evaluation Based on Qualification & Experience

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their experience and qualifications, followed by an interaction session. If required, a written test may also be conducted.

• Senior Research Officer: ₹1,25,000 per month
