About CRPF

The Central Reserve Police Force came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on 27th July 1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force on the enactment of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has completed 83 years of glorious history. The Force has grown into a big organization with 246 Bns, (including 203 executive Bns,05 VIP Security Bns, 6 Mahila Bns, 15 RAF Bns, 10 CoBRA Bns, 05 Signal Bns, and 01 Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres, 22 Training Institutions, 03 CWS, 07 AWS, 03 MWS/SWS, 04 Composite Hospitals of 100 bed, 18 Composite Hospitals of 50 bed and 06 Field Hospitals

CRPF Recruitment 2023 Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Name Of Post’s Qualification
CT/Driver
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum Matric or equivalent from a recognized Board, or university recognized by the Central or State Govt.
  • Technical Qualification: Should possess Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License and should pass the driving test at the time of recruitment.
CT/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum Matriculate or 10th Class pass in the 10+2 examination system from a recognized board or equivalent.
  • Technical Qualification: Possessing 02 years of Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) certificates in Mechanic Motor Vehicle recognized by the National or State Council for Vocational Training or any other recognized institution and one year of practical experience in the field of concerned trade
For all other Tradesmen
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board, or university recognized by the Central or State Govt or equivalent Army qualification in case of Ex-Army Personnel.
  • Technical Qualification: Must be proficient and work in respective trades.

Age Limit

  • Constable(Driver): 21 – 27 years.
  • Constable (MMV/Cobbler/ Carpenter/ Tailor/Brass Band/Pipe Band/ Bugler/ Gardner/ Painter/Cook/Water Carrier / Washerman/Barber/SafaiKaramchari/Mason/Plumber/ Electrician: 18 – 23 years

Application Fees

  • Rs 100/- for male candidates of General, EWS, and OBC only.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, and Female candidates of all categories are exempted.

Selection Process

  • The selection process is based on  CBT/PST/PET/Trade Test.
