For the Technician position, the maximum age limit is 28 years. There is a relaxation in age for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories by 5 years, for OBC candidates by 3 years, and for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) by 10 years. This totals 15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs in respect of the posts reserved for them.
Candidates recommended by the Screening Committee will undergo a Trade/Skill Test. Successful candidates in this test will proceed to a Competitive Written Examination.
The salary for the position is in Level 2 of the Pay Matrix, approximately amounting to Rs. 34,625.
The application fee is Rs. 500, but it is exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Regular CSIR Employees/Ex-servicemen.
