1. Information Scientist
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • Option 1: First Class M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
     • Option 2: First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience.
     • Option 3: First Class MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT with 3 years relevant experience.
     • Option 4: First Class Master’s in Library & Information Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications or MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT.
   • Desirable: Experience in library/office automation, server configuration, e-resources, database, website development, etc.
2. Assistant Librarian
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • Master’s in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
     • Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR or an equivalent test, or hold a Ph.D. under UGC regulations.
     • Good academic record and computerization skills in libraries.
3. Lower Division Clerk
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • Bachelor’s Degree.
     • Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on a computer.
     • Proficiency in computer operations.
4. Multi-Tasking Staff
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • Option 1: 10th Pass.
     • Option 2: ITI Pass.
5. Library Attendant
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • 10+2 or its equivalent.
     • Certificate in Library Science.
     • 1 year of experience in an educational institution library.
     • Basic computer knowledge.
6. Laboratory Attendant
   • Essential Qualifications:
     • Option 1: 10+2 with Science.
     • Option 2: 10th Pass with Science and Laboratory Technology skill certificate.
7. Hostel Attendant

The selection process for the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) Non-Teaching Recruitment 2024 is as follows:

1. Group A Posts (Information Scientist, Assistant Librarian):
   • Selection will be based on an interview.
   • If required, a written test may be conducted before the interview.
2. Group C Posts (Lower Division Clerk, Multi-Tasking Staff, Library Attendant, Laboratory Attendant, Hostel Attendant):
   • Paper I (Qualifying Test):
     • Objective-type questions
     • Total: 100 marks
     • Candidates must secure at least 40% marks to qualify.
   • Paper II (Descriptive Test):
     • Total: 100 marks
     • Candidates must score at least 50% marks to qualify for the next stage.
   • Skill Test:
     • For posts that require a skill test, such as typing or technical tasks, candidates will be required to pass this test as part of the selection process.

Candidates must meet the cut-off criteria in both Paper I and Paper II to proceed to the skill test (if applicable).
