The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) seeks a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for its School of Robotics. The role is for a project called “Robust Deep Learning Based Runway Health Monitoring System.” They are looking for people with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, particularly with experience in robots, digital image processing, and AI/ML. Essential Qualifications:

• B.E./B. Tech in First Division with NET/GATE qualification or qualification of national level examinations conducted by central government institutions  OR
• M.E./M. Tech in the First Division is available both at the graduate and post-graduate levels.

Specializations:

• CSE/IT/ECE/EE/ME/Robotics/AI&ML or related engineering fields.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Working knowledge or project/industry experience in the areas of robotics, digital image processing, AI & ML, and programming languages (MATLAB/Python/C/C++).

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is 28 years.

The prescribed date for determining the upper age limit, educational qualifications, and/or experience shall be the last date for submitting applications. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women, and PwBD candidates, and up to 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.

DIAT Recruitment 2024 Stipend

The monthly stipend is ₹37,000 (consolidated).

In addition to the monthly stipend, medical facilities limited to MI Room facilities shall be extended to the
incumbent.
