About DPS DAE

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)  is a department with headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. DAE was established in 1954 with Jawaharlal Nehru as its first minister and Homi Bhabha as its secretary. DAE comprises five research centers, three industrial organizations, five public sector undertakings, and three service organizations. It has under its aegis two boards for promoting and funding extramural research in nuclear and allied fields, mathematics, and a national institute (deemed university).

Level 1 – Written Examination (OMR-based Objective Multiple Choice Type):

Part A: General English

• Subjects: General English
• Max Marks/Questions: 50

Part B: General Intelligence & Reasoning in Science (Basic concepts 12th Std. Level) OR Basic Accounting Principles (12th Std. Level)

Subjects:

• (a) General Intelligence & Reasoning in Science

OR

• (b) Basic Accounting Principles
• Max Marks/Questions: 60
• Duration: 2 Hours 40 minutes

Part C: Quantitative Aptitude (Arithmetic)

• Max Marks/Questions: 50

Part D: General Knowledge

• Max Marks/Questions: 20

Part E: Computer Knowledge

• Max Marks/Questions: 20
• The total exam time duration will be only 02 hours.

Level 2 – Written Examination (Descriptive Type):

• Subjects: English Language and Comprehensions
• Part A: English Language comprising comprehension, précis, and English Grammar – 50%
• Part B: Descriptive test comprising of Essay, Noting, and Drafting – 50%
• Max Marks: 100
• Duration: 3 Hours

DPS DAE Application Fee

• Candidates have to pay Rs.200/-
• Whereas, the SC/ ST, Women candidates, Ex-Servicemen, and PWD candidates are exempted from the application fee.
