• The NMHS has provided funding for the project titled ‘Himalaya Calling: Bridging Science, Policy, and Practice to Promote Sustainable Development in the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR).’

Project Duration:

• Extends until December 31, 2023.

Required Qualifications –

Data Assistant Qualifications:

• A postgraduate degree in fields such as Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, or Computer Sciences.
• Alternatively, candidates with a B.Tech, M.Tech, or MCA in Remote Sensing & GIS, Computer Science, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines are eligible.

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in data processing, compilation, and database management.
• Experience in satellite image processing and map preparation.
• Familiarity with satellite image processing software.
• Competence in working with mathematical and statistical software, such as MATLAB, R, SPSS, STATISTICA, C, C++, and Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in using MS Office and basic computer skills.

Age Limit –

• Not Exceeding 30 Years.

Salary/Pay Matrix

INR 18,000/- per month will be given, according to the notification pdf.
