Google Recruitment 2023 Roles & Responsibility

• Study the behavior and characterization of a variety of workloads on devices and explore opportunities for hardware and software co-optimization
• Participate in evaluations of future ASIC architecture and software optimization
• Execute performance, power, and thermal analysis results in a qualitative and quantitative fashion

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience bringing up full software stacks including Android/ChromeOS, Linux drivers, applications, application automation (e.g., test drivers)

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of one or more of the areas: scheduler, DVFS governor, power state control, memory management, thermal management, device driver
• Knowledge of CPU, GPU, ISP, Fabric, Memory, Caches, Camera, Video, Display, Security, or compression
• Excellent communication and people management skills
