About the job

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with engineering and product management to document new features. You will also update the documents to address customer feedback and internal bug reports. You will have access to a team of writers in the Cloud organization, with opportunities to collaborate around tools, processes, and innovation.

Google Recruitment Responsibilities

• For the Cloud Firestore database service, plan, create, produce, and publish technical documentation that includes key customer user journeys, ideas, how-to manuals, and API reference materials for enterprise clients.
• Develop information architectures that guide users through the most important user journeys in close collaboration with product managers, engineering leads, UX researchers, and user interface partners.
• Work together to improve processes for delivering a customer experience with the Cloud Database authors.
• Manage and organize the workload for technical writing by working with functional partners.

Google Recruitment Minimum qualifications

• knowledge of technical writing, product documents, or web publication.
• working knowledge of databases, SQL, NoSQL, or cloud-based solutions.
