Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) is inviting applications for 230 Apprentice positions across various regions in India, including Northern, Mumbai, Western, Eastern, Southern, and Central units. Candidates with ITI, Diploma, or Degree qualifications in relevant fields are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 17 November 2024.

GRSE Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• Merit-Based Selection: Candidates will be selected based on marks/percentage in their ITI, Diploma, or Degree.
• Document Verification: Shortlisted applicants will undergo document verification.
• Medical Examination: A medical checkup will follow to confirm fitness for training

GRSE Recruitment 2024 Salary

1. Monthly Stipend:
   • Trade Apprentice (Fresher) (Kolkata):
     • 1st year: ₹6,000
     • 2nd year: ₹6,600
   • Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI): ₹7,000 (Kolkata), ₹7,700 (Ranchi)
   • Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000 (Kolkata), ₹12,500 (Ranchi)
   • Technician Apprentice: ₹10,000 (Kolkata), ₹9,000 (Ranchi)
2. Additional Benefits: Only the stipend is provided, with no extra allowances.
3. Bank and PAN Requirement:
   • The stipend is credited directly via ECS to the apprentice’s savings account.
   • Selected candidates must have an active savings account with ECS capabilities and a PAN card as per Income Tax Department requirements.

GRSE Recruitment 2024 Application Process

1. Application: Submission alone does not guarantee selection; eligibility must be verified.
2. Location Preference: Ex-ITI Trade Apprentices may choose Kolkata or Ranchi for training.
3. Merit List: Prepared based on qualifying marks in relevant exams:
   • Ex-ITI: AITT (CTS)
   • Graduate: Engineering degree
   • Technician: Engineering diploma
   • Freshers: 10th standard marks.
4. CGPA Conversion: If grades are awarded, convert them to percentages based on university norms or divide CGPA by the maximum and multiply by 100.
5. Date of Qualification: The final result date counts as the qualification date; no relaxation.
6. Tie-breaking: Age seniority is prioritized.
7. Document Verification: Originals and self-attested copies must be presented, or eligibility is void.
8. Medical and Police Verification: Must be deemed medically fit and submit a police verification report for joining.
9. Placement and Contract: Selected candidates can be assigned to any GRSE unit, with a mandatory Apprenticeship Act contract.
