About Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC)

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), formerly known as the Subordinate Services Selection Board, is a government organization in Haryana responsible for recruiting staff for various Group B, C, and D posts in different state departments and subordinate offices. Established on January 28, 1970, HSSC recruits candidates for positions in State Police, Town Improvement Trusts, Zila Parishads, Panchayat Samitis, Municipalities, Municipal Corporations, state government local bodies, and cooperative institutions, since August 2022, Sh. Vinay Kumar (IRPS officer) is the new Secretary of HSSC and Sh. Daljit Singh is the new Controller of Exams.

HSSC Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution.
2. Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
3. No extra weightage will be given to the candidate for higher education.

HSSC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

• Candidates must be 18-25 years old as of June 1, 2024.
• Three-year age relaxation for all categories as per Government U.O. No. 9/18/2024-2 Cabinet Dated January 22, 2024.
• Includes candidates who applied under advertisement no. 1/2024 and have since become overage.
• For Ex-servicemen, the break in service between discharge and June 1, 2024, must not exceed four years as per Punjab Police Rules, 1934.
• Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) receive a five-year age relaxation per government instructions.

HSSC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for the Haryana Police Constable includes the following five stages

• Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Qualifying
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Qualifying
• Written Exam- 94.5% Weightage
• Document Verification- 3% weightage (NCC)
• Medical Examination
