About HOCL

HOCl is a weak acid that is formed when chlorine dissolves in water. It is used as an active ingredient in sanitizers and disinfectants because of its ability to break apart cell membranes, like the mechanism of action of sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide. It attacks invading pathogens, breaking down the cell walls before destroying unhealthy invaders. The antimicrobial acid is lethally effective in carrying out its protective mission.
