The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), also known as the Pusa Institute, is India’s premier agricultural research, education, and extension body. IARI Recruitment 2025 Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):

• Essential: Master’s degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or allied subjects with a 4 years/5 years Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates having a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience.
• Desirable: Research experience in maize breeding and the application of molecular markers.
• Duration: The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis for one year or until the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

Age Limit (As on 12 January 2025):

• 35 years for men
• 40 years for women
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India/ICAR rules: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years), and other eligible categories.

• 1st & 2nd Year: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA

The selection process will include the following stages:
