About IB

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India’s internal security and counter-intelligence agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It was founded in 1887 as the Central Special Branch and is reputed to be the oldest such organization in the world. Until 1968, it handled both domestic and foreign intelligence after which the Research and Analysis Wing was formed specifically for foreign intelligence following that IB was primarily assigned the role of domestic intelligence and internal security.

• Candidates must have qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2021-2023 in EC or CS. (AND)
• Candidates must have completed their B.E or B. Tech in the fields of Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering from a government-recognized University/College/Institute. (OR)
• Candidates have completed their Master’s Degree in Science, with Electronics or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Computer Science; or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications; from a Government recognized University/College/Institute.

IB ACIO Tech Salary

• Candidates who will be selected for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/ Tech in the disciplines of Computer Science and Information Technology and Electronics and Communication will get a handsome salary package. They will get a salary of Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400  plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

• Maximum Age – 27 years

IB  ACIO Tech Recruitment Selection Process

The IB ACIO Tech Recruitment 2023 will follow a three-stage selection process, which includes the following:

• Initial shortlisting of candidates based on their GATE Score.
• Conducting interviews.
• Verifying documents.

Additionally, there will be a medical examination in Stage 3.
