The Intelligence Bureau has invited online applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Tech. IB Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree in Engineering in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Communication/Electrical & Electronics/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent from a Govt.-recognised University/Institute OR Master’s Degree in Science with Electronics/Computer Science/Physics with Electronics OR Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
- GATE Score: Candidates must have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE (2023 or 2024 or 2025). For CS/IT stream valid GATE code CS; for ECE stream valid GATE code EC.
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 16 November 2025. Age relaxation as per rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC; other category relaxations and provisions (departmental candidates, widows/divorced women, ex-servicemen, meritorious sportspersons) as per the notification.
- Experience: Freshers eligible unless specified otherwise.
IB Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection will be through three stages: shortlisting based on GATE score, skill test, and interview. Final merit will be prepared considering GATE marks, skill test and interview.
- Shortlisting based on GATE Score: Candidates (approximately 10 times the vacancies) will be shortlisted based on GATE score (qualifying cut-off marks) of 2023/2024/2025.
- Skill Test: Practical/technical test commensurate with job profile (marks allotted 250).
- Interview: Assessment of subject knowledge and communication skills (marks allotted 175).
Weightage: Maximum marks 1175 — 750 marks for GATE score, 250 marks for skill test, 175 marks for interview. Awaiting list will be prepared as per DoPT instructions.
IB Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2025 Salary
Selected candidates will be placed at Level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) plus admissible Central Government allowances. Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay will be paid in addition to other allowances. Cash compensation for holiday duty is subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
