The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) constitute a prestigious network of engineering and technology institutions across India. Established in 1950, these institutions have garnered widespread recognition for their academic prowess. Operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Education of the Government of India, they operate by the Institutes of Technology Act, of 1961. This act confers upon them the status of Institutes of National Importance, delineating their powers, responsibilities, and governance structure. Presently, there are twenty-three IITs as per the provisions of the Act. Each IIT enjoys a degree of autonomy and is interconnected with others through the IIT Council, a collective body responsible for coordinating its affairs. The Minister of Education of India assumes the role of the ex officio chairperson of the IIT Council.
IIT Hyderabad is inviting applications for the position of Data Science Intern.
