Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024

The Indian Air Force has recently announced the commencement of the recruitment process for the IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant position. This opportunity, slated for 2024, is open for male candidates residing in specific regions, including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, J&K, Chandigarh, and Ladakh. Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

(a) Candidates need to pass the 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from recognized boards with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English. Alternatively, they can complete a two-year Vocational Course with the same subjects and marks criteria.

(b) candidates with a Diploma/B.Sc. in Pharmacy, should have passed the 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 50% in English. Additionally, a Diploma/B.Sc. in Pharmacy with at least 50% aggregate and valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is required at the time of enrollment.

Marital Status and Date of Birth Block

For the Medical Assistant trade with a 10+2 qualification, candidates must be unmarried and born between January 2, 2004, and January 2, 2008.

For candidates with a Diploma/B.Sc. in Pharmacy, unmarried candidates must have a birth date between January 2, 2001, and January 2, 2006. Married candidates should be born between January 2, 2001, and January 2, 2004.

Domicile Requirement

(a) Candidates must have completed their qualifying examination from schools/institutes within the specified districts mentioned in Para 1. If not specified in their certificates, they need to provide a Domicile Certificate from an authorized official.

(b) Candidates from specified districts mentioned in Para 1, but who completed their qualifying examination elsewhere, must provide a Domicile Certificate before the examination.

(c) Sons of serving Air Force personnel can participate regardless of domicile status with a valid SOAFP Certificate.

(d) Sons of retired, discharged, or deceased Air Force personnel in specified districts need to prove a minimum one-year stay along with relevant documents.

Mandatory Medical Standards

(a) Height: The minimum height requirement is 152.5 cm.
(b) Chest: Well-proportioned and developed with a minimum expansion range of 5 cm.
(c) Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per IAF standards.
(d) Hearing: Normal hearing ability, able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
(e) Dental: Healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
(f) Visual Standards: Visual acuity of 6/36 in each eye, correctable to 6/9 in each eye, with refractive error not exceeding +3.50D including astigmatism. Color vision should be CP-III. Corneal surgeries like LASIK/RK/PRK are not acceptable.
(g) General Health: Candidates should be of normal anatomy without any loss of appendages. They should be free from any medical, surgical, or communicable diseases, infections, and skin ailments. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in any climate and terrain.

Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024 Training

• Enrolment is initially for 20 years, extendable up to the age of 57, subject to service conditions.
• Candidates initially undergo Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at designated Basic Training Institutes.
• Successful completion of JBPT leads to trade-specific training, including security training or other required training.
• Training may be terminated if standards in academics, profession, physical fitness, or discipline are not met, or if the trainee is found medically unfit.
• After completing all training stages, airmen are deployed as per IAF requirements.
• Request for trade change is not entertained.
• Candidates cannot stay with family during training.
• Unmarried candidates are not allowed to marry until completing their ab initio training.

Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024 Salary

• A stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month is paid during training.
• Upon completion of training, the starting gross emoluments at the minimum scale of pay, including Military Service Pay (MSP), is Rs. 26,900/- per month.
• Dearness allowance and other allowances, such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, and HRA, are provided as per relevant government instructions.
• Airmen can pursue higher education qualifications after acquiring the prescribed skill grade and years of service as stated in the Human Resource Policy (HRP).
• Perks such as ration, clothing, medical facilities, accommodation, CSD facilities, leave (60 days annual and 30 days casual in a calendar year), recreational facilities, transport for school-going children, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) are provided as per existing rules.
• Group Insurance Cover of Rs. 55 Lakhs at a premium of Rs. 3200/- per month for all Airmen and the facility of Group Housing Scheme is also extended.

Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024  Selection Process

• Original educational certificates (10th passing Certificate, 12th passing Certificate & mark sheet, and Original Degree/Diploma Certificate & Mark Sheets of B.Sc/Diploma in Pharmacy) and other required documents like NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate, Son of serving Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) certificate (or), Discharge Book, Service Book, Service Particular Certificate/Casualty Service Certificate (or) Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/Navy/Government organization), Consent form, passport size color photographs, and domicile proof will be scrutinized/verified at the examination venue before the Physical Fitness Test.
• Detailed verification will occur later for candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test and Written Test.
• Original Passing Certificates/Marks Sheets will be returned to candidates after Detailed Verification.
• Candidates failing to meet educational criteria will be rejected during initial verification or subsequent stages.
