About Indian Coast Guard

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is a uniformed maritime service and one of the three arms of the Indian Armed Forces responsible for coastal security, search and rescue, marine environment protection and fisheries protection. It functions under the Ministry of Defence and conducts both law enforcement and humanitarian operations along India’s coastline.
