IRCTC Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

Candidates should be at least 15 years old and not exceed 25 years old. There are relaxations available for certain categories:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-servicemen: 10 years
• PwBD: 10 years

IRCTC Recruitment 2024 Salary

Selected candidates engaged as Apprentice trainees will receive a stipend during the training at the prescribed rate according to existing rules.

• School pass-outs (class 5th – class 9th): Rs 5000/- per month
• School pass-outs (class 10th): Rs 6000/- per month
• School pass-outs (class 12th): Rs 7000/- per month
• National or State Certificate holder: Rs 7700/- per month
• Technician (vocational) apprentice or Vocational Certificate holder or Sandwich Course (Students from Diploma Institutions): Rs 7000/- per month
• Technician apprentice or diploma holder in any stream or Sandwich Course (Students from Degree Institutions): Rs 8000/- per month
• Graduate’s apprentices or degree apprentices or degree in any stream: Rs 9000/- per month

IRCTC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• Selection based on merit list from matriculation examination marks. In the case of the grading system, the average of the highest and lowest marks will be considered.
• Preference to older candidates in case of equal marks. If dates of birth are also the same, preference to those who passed the matriculation exam earlier.
• No written test or interview.
• Final selection subject to verification of original testimonials.
• Stand-by list candidates offered to join based on vacancies from the Merit list.
• Offers are issued strictly in order of Merit.
