IREL Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

As of the last date of application, candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

  • SC/ST: Up to 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 3 years
  • PWD: Up to 10 years

IREL Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

  1. Eligibility: Based on merit (marks, age), subject to medical fitness. In case of a tie, higher marks or older age will be prioritized.
  2. Priority for Selection:
    • Land donors to the company (proof required).
    • Wards of employees and residents within 10 km of the company.
    • Local residents from specific villages in Kanyakumari District.
    • Tamil Nadu state residents (proof required).
  3. Marks Calculation: If no final aggregate marks, the average of all semesters/years will be used. CGPA must be converted to percentages.
  4. Exclusions: Higher qualifications like ME/M. Tech, MCA, MBA, Ph.D., etc., disqualify candidates.
  5. Document Verification: Original documents required; failure leads to disqualification.
  6. Medical Exam: Must pass a medical test by the company’s doctor.
  7. Police Verification: Mandatory before joining.
  8. Placement: Apprentices may be placed in any department.
  9. Contract: Apprentices must sign a contract as per the Apprentices Act.

IREL Recruitment 2024 Stipend

The minimum pay scale for the apprenticeship is Rs. 20,000/- per month.

    • Use Establishment Registration No. E05203301006 for Trade Apprentices and STNKKC000004 for Graduate/Technician Apprentices.
    • Submit a hard copy of your application using the proforma in Annexure A, marked as:
      • “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICE AGAINST NOTIFICATION NO. IREL (India) Limited/MK/Apprentices Engagement/2024/01”.
  3. Documents Required:
    • Include self-attested photocopies of:
      • Birth Certificate/Matriculation certificate
      • HSC Mark Sheet
      • Caste certificates (if applicable)
      • Mark sheets and pass certificates
      • Police Verification Certificate
      • 10 passport-size photographs.
  4. Submission Address:
    • Send to:
      • The Chief Manager — HRM (Legal & ER), IREL (India) Limited, Manavalakurichi, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu – 629252.
    • Deadline: Applications must arrive by 17.10.2024.
