About JIPT PGDC & PDC Program

Since 2010, the Jindal Institute of Power Technology (JIPT) has offered a one-year post-graduate diploma program in power. The primary goal of the courses is to develop a pool of technically skilled labor that is ready for hire in the power utilities and related industries. This course follows the Central Electricity Authority’s (CEA) syllabus and focuses mostly on thermal power engineering. To provide students with a broad understanding of the power and energy sectors, JIPT is incorporating lessons on alternative energy sources. After successfully completing this course, learners are legally qualified to work in thermal power plants with a capacity of more than 100 MW.

JIPT PGDC & PDC Program Eligibility Criteria

One Year Post Graduate Program in Power Technology (PGDC)

Eligibility	A full-time 4-year BE / B. Tech degree from a recognized Institute in Mechanical / Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60 % marks in BE / B. Tech.
Age	Not more than 28 years as on July 01, 2023

One Year Post Diploma Program in  Power Technology (PDC)

Eligibility	3-year diploma from a recognized Institute in Mechanical / Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 60 % marks in Diploma.
Age	Not more than 27 years as on July 01, 2023
Total Number of Seats	30
Course Fee	INR 1,00,000/-

• Candidates appearing for the final semester exam. are also eligible to apply while admission will be confirmed on the declaration of result only.

JIPT online entrance exam pattern for batch 2023-24

• The exam will be conducted online.
• Question pattern MCQ type.
• The exam will be held in two parts
• Online test/Online personal interview

Total questions of entrance exam 75 nos. (Each question 2 marks)

• Basic questions stream-wise – 50 nos.
• Questions on Reasoning & Aptitude – 25 nos.

Online Examination has Two Parts

Part One –Individual streamwise questions

Part Two – Aptitude Test

Students must answer 75 multiple-choice -questions within the 75-minute timeframe allotted for the examination.  Students should answer 50 questions as per their Branches of Engineering and 25 questions in the Aptitude test.

• The selection merit list will be based on past academic records, tests, and interviews of the candidates.
