- Apprentice:
- SSC/Matric/Std X – 50% (aggregate)
- ITI (NCVT/SCVT) – 65% (aggregate)

Age Limit (As on 01 December 2024):
- Minimum age: 14 years
- For hazardous occupations: 18 years (according to ‘The Apprentices Act 1961’)
- Candidates born on or before 02 May 2011 are eligible.
Naval Dockyard Vizag Recruitment 2025 Stipend
Admissibility of monthly stipend is based on Section 13 of ‘The Apprentices Act 1961’ and ‘The Apprenticeship Rules 1992’ read in conjunction with ‘The Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2019’ and ‘Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2022’. The stipend is:
- Rs. 7,700/- for one-year ITI certificate holders
- Rs. 8,050/- for two-year ITI certificate holders
Naval Dockyard Vizag Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
- Shortlisting of Candidates for Written Exam:
Shortlisting of candidates for issuing hall tickets will be based on marks secured in SSC/Matriculation and ITI, in a ratio of 70:30. A merit list will be drawn, and hall tickets will be sent to shortlisted applicants in the ratio of 1:5 for each trade and category. - Written Examination:
The OMR-based written examination will comprise 75 multiple-choice questions (30 on Mathematics, 30 on General Science, 15 on General Knowledge), conducted in English. Each question carries 1 mark, and there will be no negative marking. - Interview:
Candidates in the order of merit will be called for an interview. The interview will consist of document verification and an oral test, where technical skills will be evaluated.
