National Informatics Centre (NIC) functions under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and has been instrumental in implementing e-Governance applications across India. NIC has developed and manages projects like PFMS, eHospital, Vahan, Sarathi, eOffice, ePrisons, ServicePlus, IVFRT, PM KISAN, PRAYAS, and PARIVESH. NIC aims to provide practical exposure and learning opportunities for students through its internship programs.

Indian students from recognized universities in India with minimum 60% marks in their last examination pursuing B.E/B.Tech (CS/IT/ECE), M.E/M.Tech, MCA, MSc(CS/IT/Electronics), DoEACC ‘B’ level are eligible. Students in the last year or graduating in summer 2026 are not eligible.
Selection is merit-based and may include a personal or Skype interview. TA/DA is not provided. Candidates must provide authentic academic records. False information will lead to rejection.
Interns will receive a token stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month, payable after submission and acceptance of the internship report, subject to satisfactory performance certified by the Supervisor/Mentor.
Certificates will be issued upon completion of internship and submission of accepted report, countersigned by Training Division, NIC.
