About NLC

NLC India Limited (NLC) (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited) is a central public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces about 30 million tonnes of lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India and at Barsingsar in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan state. The lignite is used at pithead thermal power stations of 3640 MW installed capacity to produce electricity. Its joint venture has a 1000 MW thermal power station using coal.

Qualification Education:

Graduate (Engineering) Apprentices:-

• A degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a recognized statutory university in relevant
  discipline.
• A degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution empowered to grant such a degree by an
  Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
• Graduate examination of Professional bodies (Full time) recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Technician  Apprentices:

• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education Established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

Age Limit:

• The age limit will be as per apprentice rules
