About RLDA

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), established on 1 November 2006 under the Ministry of Railways, develops vacant railway land for commercial use to generate revenue. Its focus is on creating residential, commercial, and transportation hubs. RLDA’s expenses are funded by grants from Indian Railways, with earnings transferred back to the Railways. The authority was created to help meet the Indian Railways’ infrastructure budget. Manoj Garg is the current Vice Chairman, having joined in June 2024.

  • Required Service: SAG/NFSAG/SG IRSE Officers with a minimum of 17 years of regular group service.
  • Experience: Experience in Land Management, Real Estate, and Contract Management.

Scale of Pay: Level-14 (CPC)

• Deputation Allowance: One scale higher than parent grade up to Level 13 or deputation allowance if posted in the same grade.
• Accommodation and Allowances:
  • Railway accommodation
  • TADK or Care Taker allowance
  • Liberal lease facility (including Self Lease)
  • Conveyance allowance/Official vehicle
  • Liberal medical facilities
  • Soft furnishing allowance, electricity allowance, etc.
