About SAMEER

The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) is an autonomous R&D institution under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. It originated from the Microwave Engineering Group of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, and was established as an R&D laboratory under the Department of Electronics in 1984. In 1988, SAMEER relocated to its current headquarters at the IIT Bombay campus. SAMEER operates five centers across India: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam, and Guwahati.

In this role, you will contribute to developing RF hardware (Tx-Rx systems in THz) and antenna systems using advanced technologies like Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS) and Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) to create the country’s first 6G test bed. Essential Qualification

Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, or an M.Sc. (Electronics) from a recognized university/institution with a minimum of 55% marks. Final semester students can also apply but must meet the essential qualifications at the time of joining.

SAMEER Research Scientist  Recruitment 2024 Salary

Rs. 30000.00/- per month (consolidated pay) with annual increment. One additional increment will be given to candidates having M.Tech.

Candidates applying for the above post who fulfill the prescribed qualifications shall have to appear for a written test/screening test/skill test for screening of candidates.
