The South East Central Railway (SECR) is one of the 18 railway zones in India. It operates primarily in the states of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. SECR is headquartered in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and is responsible for managing railway operations, infrastructure, and services in its designated region. SECR is seeking Trade Apprentices for various positions under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules-1962 in SECR Raipur Division & Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur, for 2024-25. Vacancies include trades like Welder, Turner, Fitter, Electrician, Stenographer, Computer Operator/Program Assistant, etc., totaling 1113 positions. a) Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination under the 10+2 education system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
b) Candidates must have completed an I.T.I course in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
Note: Candidates should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of the notification issue. Those appearing in the qualifying examination or awaiting results are not eligible.
Candidates must be at least 15 years old and should not have exceeded 24 years of age.
Age relaxation requires the submission of a recent caste certificate. SC/ST candidates need to provide a caste certificate in Annexure-B format. In contrast, OBC candidates need a Caste and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in Annexure-C format, both in Central Government format. OBC Certificate should be within one year from notification closure.
Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for one year for each trade and will receive a stipend as per Railway Board rules during their training. Upon completion of their apprenticeship, their training will be terminated.
