South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
- The upper age limit for General candidates is 42 years, for SC/ST candidates it is 47 years, and for OBC candidates, it is 45 years.
- The age will be calculated as of July 1, 2024.
- Age relaxation rules apply as per the Railway Board’s letter dated August 21, 2001 (RBE No.165/2001 & Estt.Srl.No.103/2001).

South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
- Selection process: CBT, aptitude test (if applicable), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
- Separate CBT for each applied post; selection based on CBT merit.
- GDCE Quota from Direct Recruitment Vacancies; CBT standard aligned with RRB exams.
- CBT in single/two stages; Multiple Choice Objective Type questions in English/Hindi.
- 90-minute duration, 1 mark per question; negative marking @1/3 for wrong answers.
- Minimum eligibility marks: UR-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
- CBAT for Assistant Loco Pilot post shortlisted candidates.
- CBT conducted by RRC/GRC; dates notified via SMS, email, and website.
- No supplementary exams for absentees; strict adherence to exam instructions required.

South Eastern Railway Recruitment 2024 Application Process

- The online application portal will be open from May 13, 2024, to June 12, 2024, until 23:59 hrs. Manual or hard copy submissions at RRC/GRC offices will not be accepted.
- Candidates meeting eligibility criteria can apply for multiple categories by selecting relevant options in the online application form and indicating their preference for different categories.
- If a candidate qualifies in more than one category, the post allotment will be based on merit and the candidate’s choice.
- For assistance with online registration, candidates can use the “Contact Us” button on the application portal or contact [email protected].
- To avoid last-minute issues, candidates are advised to register well before the closing date, as heavy internet traffic may lead to difficulty accessing the website.
- Corrections to the application can be made before final submission. After final submission, no editing is allowed.
- The last date and time for online registration is June 12, 2024, at 23:59 hrs. The Railway Administration will not be responsible for any inability to register online within the specified timeframe.
