About SSC MTS

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various ministries and departments of the government of India and in subordinate offices. This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of a chairman, two members, and a secretary-cum-controller of examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of additional secretary to the government of India.

SSC MTS 2023  Age Limit

MTS offers openings in two age brackets.

• Candidates for the SSC MTS must be between 18 and 25, or born between 02/08/1996 and 01/08/2005.
• Candidates for the SSC MTS must be between 18 and 27, or born between 02/08/1996 and 01/08/2005.

Age Relaxation :

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwD (Unreserved) –  10 years
• PwD (OBC) – 13 years
• PwD (SC/ST) – 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen (ESM) 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date of receipt of the online application.

SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process

• Examining is a part of the hiring process.
• A computer-based test plus a physical standard test (PST) (only for the position of havaldar) will
• make up the examination.
• In addition to Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages, the computer-based exam will be given.
• Sessions I and II of a computer-based examination (CBE) will make up the selection procedure for the position of MTS.
• First, a candidate’s performance in Session I will be assessed, and only if they pass Session I will they be examined in Session II.
• A computer-based exam (CBE), a physical standard test (PST), and a physical efficiency test (PET) will be used in the hiring process for the position of havaldar.

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern

There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II and both Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.
