Union Bank of India has announced recruitment for 1,500 Local Bank Officer (LBO) positions across various states. Eligible candidates with a graduation degree from a recognized university or institution approved by the Government of India can apply. Union Bank LBO Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Indian citizen or specific categories from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, or migrants from select countries (with eligibility certificate for non-Indian citizens).

Age: 20 – 30 years as of 01.10.2024.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with percentage details required in the application.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-creamy): 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen & ECOs: 5 years
• 1984 Riot-affected: 5 years

Note: Age relaxation can be combined up to 50 years for SC/ST/OBC with other categories.

• Stages:
  • Online Exam
  • Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
  • Interview
• Online Exam:
  • Objective Tests (Reasoning, General Awareness, Data Interpretation, English) and Descriptive English Tests (Letter Writing & Essay).
  • Total Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.
• Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
  • Required for local language proficiency; exempt if studied in 10th/12th.
• Interview:
  • Qualifying marks: 40% (35% for reserved categories).
  • Final selection based on 80% exam, 20% interview.
• Important:
  • All information will be verified.
  • Candidates with unresolved credit defaults will be disqualified.

Union Bank LBO Recruitment 2024 Probation Period & Service Indemnity Bond

Probation Period:
Selected candidates will undergo a probationary period of two years, starting from their date of joining the Bank.

Service Indemnity Bond:
Candidates will be required to sign a Service Indemnity Bond, committing to serve the Bank for a minimum of three years. If a candidate leaves the Bank before completing this period, they will be liable to pay the Bank a sum of ₹2,00,000 (Two Lakhs) plus any applicable taxes as per Government regulations.

• Starting Salary: ₹48,480
• Incremental Structure:
  • After 7 years: ₹62,480

Application Procedure

   Visit the Bank’s website at www.unionbankofindia.co.in. Navigate to the ‘Recruitments’ page and select the “Career Overview” option. Click on “Click to View the Current Recruitment” to find the link for “Recruitment of Local Bank Officer (2025-26)”. Then, select “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE” to access the online application form.
2. Register Your Application:
   Click on “Click here for New Registration” and enter your name, contact details, and email ID. The system will generate and display a Provisional Registration Number and Password. Make sure to note these down, as an email and SMS will also be sent to you with this information.
3. Saving Your Progress:
   If you cannot complete the application in one session, you can save the entered data by clicking the “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. It is recommended to use this feature to verify and modify your details before final submission.
4. Verification of Details:
   Candidates should fill out the online application carefully and verify all details themselves. Changes will not be allowed after clicking “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
5. Correct Spelling:
   Ensure that your name and the names of your father, husband, etc., are spelled exactly as they appear on your certificates, mark sheets, or identity proof. Any discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
6. Validate and Save:
   Validate your details and save your application by clicking the “Validate your details” and “Save & Next” buttons.
7. Upload Photo and Signature:
   Upload your photo and signature according to the specifications outlined in the Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading Photographs and Signatures in “Annexure-I”.
8. Complete Other Details:
   Continue filling in the remaining details of the application form.
9. Preview Your Application:
   Click on the Preview tab to review your entire application before selecting “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”.
10. Modify if Necessary:
