UPPSC GIC Lecturer Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification varies by subject:

• For Sociology, Geography, Economics, Civics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English: Post-Graduation in the related subject + B.Ed recognized by NCTE.
• History: Post-Graduation in Ancient/Medieval/Modern History + B.Ed.
• Biology: Post-Graduation in Botany/Zoology + B.Ed.
• Hindi: Post-Graduation in Hindi + Graduation in Arts with Sanskrit + B.Ed.
• Urdu: Post-Graduation in Urdu + B.Ed.
• Sanskrit: Post-Graduation in Sanskrit + B.Ed.
• Special Education (Sparsh Inter College): Post-Graduate in subject + Special B.Ed./M.Ed in Visually/Hearing Impaired + Registration with R.C.I. + Knowledge of Braille/Sign Language.
• Jail Training School Psychology: Master’s in Psychology with Criminal Psychology/Social Pathology paper or equivalent.
• Jail Training School Criminology & Penology: Master’s in Sociology/Social Work/Anthropology/Psychology with specialization in Criminology and Penology.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 40 years.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC – 5 yrs, PH – 15 yrs, Ex-Army Personnel – 3 yrs + service period.
