UPSC CDS 1 2024 Notification Out for 457 Posts, Exam Date, Application Form, Eligibility

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the notification for the UPSC CDS I exam 2024 on December 20, 2023. The notification is accessible on the official.  Along with it, the commission has released the CDS form, which will remain active until January 9.  Aspirants can correct the CDS registration forms from January 10 to 16.

CDS 1 2024 Salary

The compensation structure for candidates selected through the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination is determined by their rank and the specific branch they are commissioned into. Beyond the basic CDS salary, CDS officers are entitled to a range of allowances and benefits, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other perks such as medical facilities, housing, and pension.

CDS 1 Age Limit

• Candidates applying for the Air Force and Navy under the CDS exam should be aged between 19 to 23 years, while those aiming for the Officers Training Academy must be in the age group of 19 to 24 years.

CDS 1 2024 Selection Process

Individuals meeting the eligibility criteria are required to go through a three-stage selection process as part of CDS Recruitment 2024. The process includes:

• Written Examination: Participants are expected to engage in a written examination as the initial step.
• SSB Interview: Those who successfully pass the written exam will advance to the SSB (Service Selection Board) interview phase.
• Medical Verification: After completing the SSB interview, candidates will undergo a medical examination to confirm their medical fitness.

CDS 1 Exam 2024 Application Fee

• The examination fee for the CDS 1 2024 Exam is Rs. 200/- for all categories except SC/ST/Females (exempted from fee payment). The payment can be done through online/offline mode (Net Banking, Mastercard/Debit Card or cash deposit in any branch of SBI Bank.)
