UPSC Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • For I.M.A. and Officers Training Academy, Chennai:  Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • For Indian Naval Academy:  Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • For Air Force Academy: Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

  Tenure of Appointment:

  • Short Service Commission will be granted to both males and females in the regular Army for 14 years, with an initial period of 10 years, extendable by a further 4 years.

  Age Limits:

  • For I.M.A.:
    Unmarried male candidates born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2007.
  • For Indian Naval Academy:
    Unmarried male candidates born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2007.
  • For Air Force Academy:
    Candidates must be 20 to 24 years old as of 1st January 2026 (born between 2nd January 2000 and 1st January 2006).
  • For Officers Training Academy (SSC Men):
    Unmarried male candidates born between 2nd January 2001 and 1st January 2007.
  • For Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course):
    Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (with divorce documents) who have not remarried, born between 2nd January 2001 and 1st January 2007.

  Note:

  • Male divorcee/widower candidates are not eligible for IMA/INA/AFA/OTA courses, as they cannot be considered unmarried for admission purposes.

The selection process includes the following stages:
