Odisha Public Service Commission is the state institution in charge of holding the Civil Service examination for entry-level positions in the state’s various civil services (OPSC). Agriculture Assistant Officer Exam is conducted by Odisha Public Service Commission.

In order to be qualified to take the OPSC AAO Exam in 2023, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Age: 21-38 years
  • Education Qualification: A Candidate Must Possess A Bachelor Of Science Degree In Agriculture / Horticulture From Any Of The Recognized Universities Or Institutions.
  • Nationality: Indian

  • Agronomy- 12 Marks
  • Farming System & sustainable agriculture- 5 Marks
  • Principle of organic farming- 6 Marks
  • Crop Production Technology- 12 Marks

  • Production Technology of Horticulture crops (Fruit)- 7 Marks
  • Production Technology of Horticulture crops (Vegetables)- 8 Marks
  • Production Technology of Horticulture crops (Floriculture Crops)- 5 Marks

Total- 20 Marks

Plant Pathology & Microbiology (Disease)

  • Field Crops- 6 Marks
  • Horticulture crops- 4 Marks
  • Entomology- 14 Marks
  • Nematode pest of Horticulture crops & their managements- 6 Marks

  • Agriculture & sericulture- 3 Marks
  • Agrometeorology & Climate Change- 7 Marks
